Gourd Art Classes

Class size 1 to 10 students from beginner to advanced

Cost is $65.00 per person for eight hours of hands on class work.

I will furnish the following

Lunch & Refreshments.

Your project gourd plus Basic gourd stain/paint

Transfer paper & Basic art work.

 Tools you will need;

Gourd scraper for cleaning the inside of the gourd.

Ball rasp that fits a 3/8’ drive shaft to sand inside of gourd.

Cleansing pad for cleaning the outside of gourd.

Burner to burn your image onto the gourd.

What you will learn in my class...

1. Selection of gourd for your project
2. Cleaning the gourd outer skin.
3. Laying out your artwork.
4. Burning your artwork onto the gourd.
5. Staining the gourd skin & artwork.
6. Cutting the gourd if needed & cleaning the inside.
7. Painting the inside of gourd if needed.
8. Dust Mask to eliminate dust particles.
